SOLD!

Offered is a fully restored Fiat 600D. This family owned Fiat was taken down to the bare tub and rebuilt.

The body, which was very solid, had any rust removed, prepared and then painted a very nice deep red with the black period checkers on the roof and the black stripe on the side. This father-son project now has a quite nice paint job. Not perfect, but very nice. The interior was redone in period colors with the stock seats and dash. No strange modifications that you usually see on 600s. The door panels are new, the carpets new, the headliner new and the seat upholstery new.

The suspension was redone and stock brakes were retained in the front and rear. New brake cylinder we installed at the master and the rear wheels. Gas tank restored and new pickup was installed at that time. The wiring was completely redone with a new harness to insure this Italian car could be electrically sound.

The motor is an 848 motor which is the more desirable 850 derivative. Fully rebuilt and running a DC30 stock 850 carburetor. The motor was built to drive on the street and is just right with excellent power, smooth idle and nice quiet running. It is fitted with a nice header and Abarth type exhaust. With a new clutch fitted, the transmission is the original 600D box and has good syncros in all gears and works as it should.

The tires are very near new with perhaps 400 miles on them. The wheels are original Cromodora 13″X5” real magnesium rims, not reproductions. They are not original to the 600 but are rare, period correct and very cool rims that look great on the 600. If you want a nicely done vintage 600D this is a great one to consider.
