SOLD!

We are pleased to offer for sale a 1971 Volvo P1800. The light blue metallic exterior with black interior is one of the best color combinations to show off the great styling of the car. This car has benefited from living in California and Oregon its entire life so it has no salt exposure or rust. The entire car has only 137,000 miles on it. A full professional engine rebuild was performed in May of 2009. The car comes with $5115.00 receipts for just that work. I drove this Volvo 150 mile from Portland, Oregon to our store and we have checked and serviced it. The car is very solid and will make a great driver.

Interior:

The car has an excellent interior. It has very good door panels and most of the interior is original and well kept. The headliner is original and in good condition. The dash is excellent and free of cracks. The front and rear seats have been recently recovered and match well. All gauges are working. The car is comfortable to ride in and has the feel of an expensive car.

Paint and Body:

is very good, no signs of major damage or rust repair. The car has been resprayed once in its original color. It has nice shine and is evenly applied; not show quality but decent. It is an older repaint that was done with the windows in and is showing some age, but is still decent driver level. Chrome is good, the hard to find grille is excellent, and the rear bumper showing only a little age. Overall in decent condition and matching the exterior quality. The floors, doors, and sills are free of rust and have no signs of repairs due to the good climate. Glass is all very good with everything except windscreen being original Volvo glass.

Mechanicals:

The engine is a fresh professional rebuild. Clutch engages nicely and the transmission and differential are quiet. Air Conditioning looks to be period with updated compressor and is very cold. Brakes are good.

Wheels and Tires:

The wheels are modern alloys and fitted with new tires.

Summation:

Rare and neat looking car that has been well maintained. This Volvo has the benefit of working air conditioning so can be used in hotter climates. You can comfortably tour all day and carry luggage too. Great just to look at!

Contact me directly on my cell phone to discuss. Thanks, Bob.
