Sports Car Shop - About Us Robert Macherione’s passion for sports cars can be traced back to visiting the New York Auto Show every year with his father at a young age. Bob’s passion for sports cars led him to Phoenix Arizona where he quickly gained employment at a British car dealer. All matter of British and Italian sports cars have passed through his hands over the years. A skilled technician, Bob moved to Eugene, Oregon in 1980 and worked for British Automotive until stepping out and forming Sports Car Shop in 1982. As it was difficult to find a group of technicians that could repair and restore sports cars with a high level of quality and passion, Sports Car Shop quickly grew and became recognized in the region. Sports Car Shop has now many years experience in British, Italian, and German sports cars, and continues to deliver high quality projects and cars. Sports Car Shop has evolved over the years starting in service, eventually adding restoration and sales. Joseph Potter partnered with Bob in 2003 to fully develop the sales and restoration aspects of the business. Joe is a long time collector and has an equal passion for the sports car world.
