SOLD!

Offered for sale a 1962 MKII Jaguar with matching numbers car that has been restored and shown in Jaguar Concours. It was restored from a low miles rust-free car by a very particular and knowledgeable restorer. This car is absolutely stunning in person. The excellent visuals are matched by the near flawless interior. The interior first impresses with the nice aroma of real leather. It then completes its seduction with an exacting fit and finish of all the burled woodwork and interior components. This is a car from another era, where quality of materials was high and the labor and skill needed to fit them was even higher. The car has scored 99+ points when shown. This car has been driven to Jaguar events as the current owner likes to use his cars. To make the car more responsive, he had us fit a steering rack to the car. We also installed five correctly sized new radial tires, and did a full service including complete tune up. This made the car a reliable driver. Since the major service in 2008, it has had about 2000 trouble free miles on it. Copies of the judging sheets are available. Show it or drive it and enjoy it.

Paint & Body

The exterior is a 9 or 9+, very smooth and well applied. Proper depth and gloss in the finish with only minor chips and scratches from slight road use. Bodywork and fit is excellent. Car has had no rust and no major accidents. This car retains all its original panels except the deck lid, which was replaced during restoration due to minor damage to it. Car has been fully and properly finished under-hood and in the trunk. All door jambs show quality of course. Door and panel fit is excellent. Chrome is excellent and most all is fresh show quality.

Interior

Best description is wow. Has the very rare reclining seat option. Leather is very well done. All interior panels and headliner were replaced at time of restoration. Wood is a nice burl and well finished. All interior fittings, gauges and switches are excellent. You want stay in this car as it smells so good and looks so nice inside.

Engine Compartment

Engine starts and runs smoothly with excellent oil pressure. Engine is quiet and well detailed. Transmission is smooth and shifts well. The overdrive functions well. Brakes are very good and the handbrake works. Steering and suspension is excellent and car drives as a properly sorted Jaguar should.

The Bottom Side

Tires & Wheels

Summation

This is probably the best correct MKII Jaguar you can find. It is the most desirable 60′s Jaguar sedan built with a factory fitted 4-speed and overdrive. It was driven 150 miles to our showroom and is ready to drive to shows or just for pleasure. Buy this car and enjoy it for years to come.
