SOLD!

We have for sale a beautiful and professionally restored 1953 MGTD MKII. This car still retains its original matching number engine which is equipped with the larger carbs that came with the late MKII MGTD’s. This is the best looking TD you will see because it has been upgraded from the standard steel wheels that all TD’s were delivered with to a full $3600 set of chrome knockoff wire wheels and hubs. This entire car has received the best parts and accessories that are available. They include a Hartz cloth top, tonneau and side curtain set, driving lights, chrome luggage rack, wood dash, and leather interior. This car just received a full service, carb rebuild and a major tune in our shop. It runs and performs very well and is just looking for a new owner who will appreciate and will drive it.

Body and Paint:

Paint is a beautiful rich red color. The finish is smooth and well applied to all panels and is free of chips and scratches. All panels are excellent and show no signs of repair. The chrome is all excellent and is well fit. The body is solid and has been finished inside and out. All chassis components were rebuilt and are painted proper finishes.

Interior:

Excellent and as new. Beautiful hue of biscuit that compliments the exterior red perfectly. Leather seat and perfectly fitted. Features an upgraded wood dash and every fitting is properly painted or fresh chrome. Extreme attention to detail and it is inviting to occupy.

Mechanicals:

Fully rebuilt original mechanicals. Engine is quiet, runs smoothly with good oil pressure. The brakes stop the car straight and true. Electricals and gauges all function properly. Drives as nice as it looks. Just tuned, inspected and fully serviced to insure it is ready to drive for spring.

Wheels and Tires:

Fitted with expensive chrome wire wheel conversion that includes five wheels and special front and rear splined hubs. Makes the car look expensive and sporty.

Summary:

This MGTD II is a matching number car that was professionally restored by leading MG specialist Oconner Classic’s using the best components. Nothing was overlooked. Red exterior with biscuit interior give it great eye appeal and the car drives extremely well. It has been driven 416 miles since restoration and would be impossible to duplicate for the selling price. An opportunity to buy one of the best MGTD’s on the market and add it to your collection.
